On the original posting here, someone referenced Joe Coutant....he was married to a Millie. Does anyone know where she is today? Joe & Millie were great friends of my mom & dad. I know Joe passed away some years ago, but my mom has always tried to find her. Any news would be great....thanks!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2680602048847357735.post-11346910744758811102011-07-10T15:03:13.623-07:002011-07-10T15:03:13.623-07:00Does anybody remember Gold's on Washington Str...Does anybody remember Gold's on Washington Street between 10th and 11th?
Please share your recollections.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2680602048847357735.post-23419927207462846632009-06-09T22:26:57.106-07:002009-06-09T22:26:57.106-07:00There were Tommy Dorsey records in Ables and Umlan...There were Tommy Dorsey records in Ables and Umlands. I just wanted the rest of the world to know that My Eddie was a special man. His word was his bond. You know he is laughing at us right now! He is planning a special joke for each person he held dear. I know that Mousie and, you Dennis, are on that list.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2680602048847357735.post-1422170146020461712009-06-08T16:58:28.787-07:002009-06-08T16:58:28.787-07:00I got rather upset when I read a e-mail comparing ...I got rather upset when I read a e-mail comparing Eddie Casler to Eddie the criminal. These are two different people and I guess I should have made that plain in my typing.
Friends back then were friends for life. We were more like family. Your problems were our problems. If one of us got hurt, the three of us felt it. It was a bond. I know that Eddie Casler is waiting for me and Mousie where ever he is. Maybe this time Mousie and I won't mess it up, like we used to, but it was fun watching him get ticked off at us. Friends then could get angry at each other, but still stay the best of buddies. Debbie I am sorry if you got offended.Dennihttp://yahoo.netnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2680602048847357735.post-75174399519991322652009-06-08T12:00:28.633-07:002009-06-08T12:00:28.633-07:00Bob, Thank You. I bowed out to pursue the finer things in life, GIRLS...a fine choice i must say. Dennis is still in good shape ...we send each other jokes and remember the fun we used to have. He loved his Hoboken history and spoke of it often. Thank you for reminding me of his youth. He loved to sing (and did it very well I might add) all the old songs from his Hoboken days. He was a good man that is dearly missed by all that had the good fortune of knowing him.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2680602048847357735.post-39484451657670143792008-06-19T20:24:00.000-07:002008-06-19T20:24:00.000-07:00Bob, you are as old as I am.
