I can't imagine why they would call the movie "Anonymous" it makes zero sense to me, however, I'm hoping that the movie is much better than its title.Cheryl A.https://www.blogger.com/profile/02829752432996436803noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2680602048847357735.post-73956896746605502152009-04-25T04:40:00.000-07:002009-04-25T04:40:00.000-07:00I would be remiss if I didn't inform my readers ab...I would be remiss if I didn't inform my readers about this website which contains a document they can sign acknowledging that there is some doubt about William Shakspere (sic) of Stratford being author of the works of Shakespeare. There is a ton of information about the Shakespeare authorship question on the Internet, and people feel passionately about both sides. My friend Howard Kissel wrote a post on his blog which inspired me to post this.

Healthy discussion may lead us to the truth eventually; ignoring the information on both sides will do nothing to further society's knowledge of its history.

That may sound a little pompous for me; but, man, we're talking Shakespeare here.Mary Loishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01515655542270431289noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2680602048847357735.post-904780460659880782009-04-24T18:57:00.001-07:002009-04-24T18:57:00.001-07:00A little Hoboken cynicism rears its head, eh?A little Hoboken cynicism rears its head, eh?Mary Loishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01515655542270431289noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2680602048847357735.post-22570939597467678792009-04-24T18:57:00.000-07:002009-04-24T18:57:00.000-07:00Shakespeare, I'll call him Billy. BILLY duped the world with his famous plays...pretending he wrote them all...sure he was able to take a play...put his name on it...and the world would take notice, and he was able to make a few bucks on it, BECAUSE OF HIS NAME...reminds me of the times in New York in the 1920s ..on 23rd Street, west side I think they called it TIN PAN ALLEY. No AC in them days. Guys banged out tunes all day. The street was noisy. Someone off the street with a good tune could sell his song for a few bucks. The buyer would put his name on it, and sometimes it would be a smash hit. I think the same thing was with Billy. He knew a good play when he seen it. Being SHAKESPEARE, who would question him? Give the writer a good bottle of Irish whiskey and send him on his way.

That is my observation on the subject. It all boils down to dollars and cents. It ain't what you are. it's WHO YOU ARE. TO BE OR NOT TO BE THAT IS THE QUESTION. The world is a stage and we are just players.Hoboken Kidnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2680602048847357735.post-82630035572929728872009-04-23T11:33:00.000-07:002009-04-23T11:33:00.000-07:00I, too, was intrigued by this- I had always pooh-p...I, too, was intrigued by this- I had always pooh-poohed the myriad stories of "another" playwright, but now I may follow your lead and do some reading...birdwatchernoreply@blogger.com
